Teaser Tuesday: Universe of the Soul

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

~ Grab your current read
~ Open to a random page
~ Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
~ BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
~ Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I start this book in two days, Universe of the Soul: Adri Adept by Jennifer Mandelas and this is my teaser:

“You know something? Sometimes, when I’m alone, I don’t bother with a swimsuit.”

Gray’s eyes blurred. “That was evil.”

“Justice,” Adri corrected…pg(109-110)

Please leave a comment with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your ‘teasers’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog).

Thanks, Hiba <3

“Good luck, George. I don’t think a woman like that exists.”
George stood. Gripping her shoulders, he pulled her off the table. “I’ve already found her, and you know it well.”
Alanna glared up into his face. “You think highly of yourself!” she snapped. “I’m the daughter of a noble–”
He laughed softly. “Does that truly stand between us, Alanna. If you loved, would you care about birth or wealth?”
“Like must wed like,” Alanna whispered.

Sven glanced over at the legendary assassin. Train was bent over, picking something up off the ground. With a grin, he looked up at Sven and waved his fisted hand.
“Look Sven, I’ve found a penny!”
Sven shook his head. “They’re afraid of this guy?”

My current read is “Endymion Spring” by Matthew Skelton. It’s a pretty good book so far. Here’s my teasers:

But how, he wondered, could anyone read a blank book? In the end, he closed the volume and returned it to the shelf, little realizing that the story was already writing itself.

The turrets, made from rich red sandstone, were an attractive rose color by day, but by night they formed a vast mountain range, steeped in shadow.
